A student made her own enamel cabs and then created a granulated silver setting for these classical-style earrings. The vibrant orange “cabochon” in the center is transparent enamel kiln-fired onto textured fine silver. It is set into a bezel that is surrounded by a fine silver granulation pattern. Each tiny sphere was made by balling up tiny bits of wire, placing them with organic glue, and then heating until fused. A painstaking process, but the effect is beautiful. This student took the class at The Art School at Old Church.
