In a 5-day workshop (May 29-June 2) at Peters Valley School of Craft in Layton, NJ, led by Jennifer Jordan Park, students created innovative enamel pieces using transparent enamels on fine silver. Basse taille enamels were created by roller printing and chasing metal sheet, and then firing transparent enamels onto the surface. Cloisonne enamels were created by firing ribbon-like wires onto fine silver sheet and filling the created sections with transparent and opaque enamels.
